Each day our campers will enjoy adventures like Jack and Annie do in the books. We create theme days around the books that include games, crafts, reading, and writing. You do not need to have read the books to participate and have a good time. The staff does dress for the themes. We love Pirate day when we can wear our eye patch. Medieval Day is fun for the girls to get out their princess dress and for the boys to wear their swords. On cowboy day, everyone has a mustache!
Week 1 Magic Tree House Adventures
June 30th-July2nd (No camp on the 3rd)
It is a week of fun adventures. We will visit Hawaii. I hope you can do the Limbo! We will also travel back in time to learn about dinosaurs. We will have a medieval day, so that our knights and princesses can come out to play. We will end the week on Thursday with ancient Egypt. I hope you are not afraid of mummies! There are only four days this week, but we have filled them with fun!
The camp is open to all children entering 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade . The camp tuition is $110 a student a week. Week 1 is $90 because it is only 4 days. Children may opt to enroll for any or all three weeks. All the staff are teachers and aides at Orenda Elementary School. Register online at shenet.org or contact Mr. Herrington at herrdavi@shenet.org. You may also call Community Education at 881-0444 for more information. Register early to avoid a late fee. We only enroll 45 kids a week, so register quickly. Starting this year you may register on line at Shenet.org or download the forms from the Shenet.org site under summer education. Don’t forget to complete the health form. See you at camp!
